Hi there (: You will need to provide more information regarding your request before it is filled. Here are the guidelines for this board: support.proboards.com/page/cdrules#gdrParticularly this bit: Also, many people have signatures turned off, so you'll need to provide a link in your forum in your post. (:

@1mako , to clarify, you want a gradient like your signature with white lettering?
Any particular font?
And what size is that area in your banner that you need to fill next to the ant photo?
Or can you give me the entire banner size and I can include that image in the banner, if that's easier.

@1mako , to clarify, you want a gradient like your signature with white lettering? Yes please!
Any particular font? Comic Sans any good?!
And what size is that area in your banner that you need to fill next to the ant photo? From top left, I just need it to go across the same height and towards the banner image. Leaving a little green background towards the image is no problem.
Or can you give me the entire banner size and I can include that image in the banner, if that's easier. See above! But if this is easier then do this!! See answers to questions in quote box above!! Thanks Vampira!

@1mako , without an exact pixel size for the blank green area, yes, doing the third (incorporating the ant photo) will be easiest.
But I would still need a width and height for the entire banner.

I had some spare time so I thought I'd start working on this.
Photobucket has reduced the original slightly ~ but we can make adjustments if you like it.
How's this, @1mako ?
And matching siggy ~

Looks great to me, thanks! How do I go about saving it and getting it on my forum?
Will it fit across the top well?!
Apologies, I'm very new to graphics.!

You may right click on both images and then save them to your computer.
Since you didn't give me the banner size you needed ~ or the forum's width ~ the easiest way to use the banner would be to put the image in your logo area.
If you set this code at the bottom of your style sheet, it should adjust the banner to always show at 100% for everyone.
- Go to Themes > Theme Manager and hover your mouse over your theme. Click on the Images button that comes up. Upload your banner image to the Logo section on the following page. Click on the Settings tab once you've finished uploading the image and ensure that the Forum Title field is set to Display Logo.
- Go to Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS and click on Header (Top) > Forum Banner > Banner Image. Remove the Background Image from this section.
On StyleSheet
/* Logo scales with Forum Width */ #banner { height: 100%; padding: 0px; } #banner-container, #banner { display: block; } a#logo img { max-width: 100%; } a#logo { font: inherit; } #banner { margin-bottom: -3px; }

As an addendum, a scaling forum logo will lose quality when scaling beyond it's original dimensions. There's no way to avoid this beyond creating a larger image. Just a heads up!

The reason I said this is because I believe I've made the logo larger than needed, Kami.
So I expect it to scale down, not up.
I'm guesstimating, though, since no width was provided.
But if that's not the case, I can make it larger than the 1250px it currently is.

I was not saying anything about the size you made the image, what I am stating is fact with regards to the CSS you provided. If used on the forum, regardless of the image size, unless the forum is a fixed width it will become blurry when scaling to accommodate a larger viewport.
Case in point: You may find 1250px large, but the forum is a fluid width of more than 90% of the viewport and on a 1920 width resolution, the 1250px banner being scaled upward will be blurry. It is the very nature of using scaling CSS with an image of fixed dimensions, so it is absolutely irrelevant what size you make it in relation to that.
EDIT: In retrospect this post may sound antagonistic. I want to clarify that I have a neutral tone with this for simply conveying information regarding the above topic. I do apologise if the tone comes across otherwise, as it is not my intent.

I do understand what you are saying, Kami .
It's was just a suggestion as I don't know how the forum is set up ~ a set width or a percentage.
So I'm winging it, until I get clarification.
But no worries, as I didn't take the post in a confrontational way.

But no worries, as I didn't take the post in a confrontational way. :) The default theme is definitively a fluid width, as the amount of space between the forum & the edge of the browser is consistent no matter the size of the browser.
I appreciate that you understood the intent / tone of my post (:

Then my code definitely shouldn't be used, because you are RIGHT, if it's fluid, it won't work should it be stretched to fit wider screens.
Thanks for the input, Kami .
I'm so accustomed to a fixed width on my forum!
