Help with Slider

I coded a slider at the top of my home page that rotates between different characters and gives some info on them (featuring them), but something about my code is off because it keeps messing up codes in other ares of my board.  Can anyone look at my code and offer suggestions/help?

It seems to be squishing the forum a bit, making the descriptions on the boards overlap off to the side too. weird. I'm baffled.

You broke'd it? Oh no! I'm taking a look now and the images helped me see what was wrong. Now just to figure it out.

I took a look at what was in this: 

<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://www.w3schools.com/lib/w3.css">

And it has a bunch of things in it that is messing things up and I don't think you need it for the slider. I removed it with your code in place on my test site and it fixed the participate and in that css, it's changing many things on your site. You can see all the css in that style sheet:

No, don't feel like an idiot. I've done similar things and sometimes it just takes a fresh eye to ferret out the culprit. Glad that did the trick.

thank you so much..and yeah ..I find that's often the case with code. You're staring at a problem so long that you miss things.
