Creature Hunt II (0.1.7)

Alrighty! Well I will definitely be keeping up with this, it's my favorite plugin yet and will work perfectly when I get everything set up LOL!

I love the idea of this plugin! Is there any way to adjust some of the language to theme the mechanics differently?

An example would be say, changing the wording so that instead of fighting animals, you're putting out fires and instead of "attack"ing the fire, you're "flush"ing it, or whatever. It's not a perfect example, but you get what I mean!

Just install this version over your current version and chose to keep all of the existing settings, then, with your fingers crossed take a look at you test thread. Hopefully all of the missing notes will now appear.

Ooops... Nope, I forgot to update the plugin in the library..

I have now done so, so if you give it a day or so the new version should appear in the library.. Or, you can download the plugin directly from here.. You will need to save it to your computer and then 'Import Plugin' from the 'Manage' screen in your plugins list.

Todge So I'm sorry for possibly asking a dumb question, but do I need to make an account for the creatures (I'm assuming I do) and if so, how do I make it where it will post when needed. After filling in all of the plugin settings, its currently not working.

You need to specify a board where the plugin will work, but other than that, so long as everything is set up correctly it should work.

Have you changed the layout of your forum a great deal? If your template/layout is changing the standard PB IDs/classnames, that can cause havoc with plugins too.

Todge I do have a completely different layout. Heres the link to my forum if you need to take a look. I don't know a great deal about code, so I'm not sure if it changes PB IDs/classnames. If so, is there a way to get around it? I have an animal rp forum and allowing the members to hunt on their own would be a great help.

First up, let's make sure the plugin is set up correctly..

Have you told the plugin which board to use? And assuming you have, can you please either PM me or post a link to it so I can take a look.

Now, when you create a thread, do you get an 'Add Creature' button beside the 'Create Thread' button?

Todge yes, I got the Add Creature button, then I was able to pick what group. However even with it specified to after 1 post, 100% likely, it never does anything after I post.

That sounds like an issue with the set up.. For some reason the plugin is not choosing a creature.

How many creatures do you have listed in the plugin?

I only had one when I tested it. If needed I can try it again with more creatures.
