Sorry to bother you again Todge, still love this plugin and very happy with it. But got a request/wish for a maybe future update: Is it possible to make the plugin that only staff can write hidden content? or Is it possible to have the plugin only in one board on the forum? I installed the plug in to hide content but it does not work. What is UUBC plugin? The UBBC Plugin was written by Chris that adds the wysiwyg functions to the quick reply, but it is not needed for the Hidden Content plugin, so long as you are using the latest verion. |

When I include the image tag for an image in the hide, the other member reply and it reveals the image link in between the img tags instead of an image. So the hide content only works for text, no image, url link, etc?

When I include the image tag for an image in the hide, the other member reply and it reveals the image link in between the img tags instead of an image. So the hide content only works for text, no image, url link, etc? [img]http://whatever.com/whatever.jpg[/img]Images can be hidden, but you will need to author the post in the UBBC side of the editor, then flip to the Preview side before you submit the post. This is because the plugin scrambles the hidden content so that it can't be read by disabling JS or from the source code, and as the UBBC tags will be scrambled too, ANY UBBC tags will need to be converted to HTML before submitting. You can author a post in the preview page, select the content to be hidden and click the 'HIDE' button, but you will not be able to see the effect until you post, and images will usually need to have some text after them to ensure they are wrapped in the hide tags. And all this means that hidden content must be plain text if posted through the QR. |
