Move Logout to under Newest Member

Happy Holidays everyone.  I'd like to move the Welcome username. Logout from the navigator to the line under Newest Member in the info center which is at the top of my forum under the banner.

Do you also want to move the "Welcome Guest, Please Login Or Register" to the same place?

OK so, I can't see your forum but I suspect we are going to have an issue: the info centre displays only on the home page of the forum.

Moving the login / register to this area would mean a user could only login or register if they are viewing the forum home page. Is this okay? Or would you like it set to display in the info centre when on the home page, and then in the regular spot for all other pages?

Hi, thx  i would prefer everything be on info centre on the home page....they will get used to it.

Sounds good! Okay so:

1. Go to admin > structure > layout templates.
2. Click the forum wrapper option.
3. You'll see a tonne of code. You'll need to find this:

<p id="welcome">
{if !$[current_user.is_member]}
Welcome Guest.  
{if $[login_link] || $[register_link]}
Please $[login_link]{if $[login_link] && $[register_link]} or {/if}$[register_link].
{/if}
{else}
<span>Welcome $[current_user.name].</span>  $[logout_link]
{/if}
</p>

Delete it from the template.

4. Next, go back to the list of links on the template page. Select the Home template.
5. Find your info centre -- it should be located under {if #[show_stats]}
6. Find this line:


<tr><td>Newest Member: $[newest_user]</td></tr>
Change it to this:


<tr><td>Newest Member: $[newest_user]<br />
{if !$[current_user.is_member]}
  Welcome Guest.  
  {if $[login_link] || $[register_link]}
     Please $[login_link]{if $[login_link] && $[register_link]} or {/if}$[register_link].
  {/if}
{else}
  <span>Welcome $[current_user.name].</span>  $[logout_link]
{/if}</td></tr>
Save your changes.
