Problem Installing Chat Software.

I am trying to install a chat system on my forum and I having trouble figuring out how to make the chat appear on every page. Help!

Hi, blaineg.

If you add code to Structure > Headers & Footers > Global Header & Footer in your forum's admin area the elements you added will appear on every page on the forum.

Alternatively, adding code to Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper will make the elements you added show on every page, but only on the theme you added them to.

Thanks. Do you know if ArrowChat will work with Pro Boards?

I don't believe it will work as we do not offer support for the PHP language or provide separate MySQL databases. The only way you would be able to get that particular chat software to work is if you hosted it on a separate site.

ProBoards has a built in chatbox that you can enable in admin > settings > forum settings > shoutbox

If that's not to your liking, I know for certain any chat that references an external host -- cbox, chatngo, and so forth -- and provides HTML structure will be useable. It's mainly just anything that requires you to host or access servers that won't be compatible.
