Help separating the first page viewed.

    So, the problem that is occurring is that we want guests to go to a main page where it discusses and represents the goals of the forum, while on the other hand we want members of the forum to be directly sent to the forum segment when logging on.

Hi, professorb.

The best suggestion I can make is modifying Themes > Layout Templates > Home to show different content to users who are not logged in when they attempt to access the forum index. Depending on how you implement this they may not be able to see the list of categories and boards that shows there by default.

While it would be easy to make the forum page redirect to a guest page you've created in Structure > Custom Page depending on whether or not you're logged in automatic redirects are unfortunately a violation of our developer guidelines as they cause an unnecessary extra pageload.
