You can click and drag the bottom border of the reply area to increase its overall size. The solution to not getting your response trapped within a quote is to not hit backspace before you start typing your response in the Preview tab. The typing caret is already outside of the quote when you click on the empty space below it to begin typing your post. If you've already performed the deed and your caret is stuck there you can switch to the BBCode tab and start typing after the closing [/quote] tag.

I'd imagine so (I don't have a code or anything to do that), but that doesn't change the fact that they can still do that by accident in which case there's already a solution.

Honestly, I can do it no problem. It's the long way, but it works. I don't think my members will understand what I'm telling them to do though. My membership is small so it won't be too much to continue editing their posts. These accidents only happen occasionally. Earlier, when I thought there might be a code to add, I was thinking we might need to ask if this could be a v6 Feature Request since they are redesigning everything. Oh well. Thanks

So I don't know if I knew you could drag that to make it bigger and forgot I knew that or just never knew but how many people would think to do that? Regardless, today on my site I noticed there is lots of room below the quotes and here now too. Did someone change something? It would still be nice if you backspaced and it stopped just outside of the last quote (don't know if that could be done or not) but I know I'm being lazy and nit picking and I'm hijacking this thread with my own beef so will shut up and be happy ProBoards is awesome in all other respects. Thanks Brian, for heeding my call for help.

Here's a thread I found just a second ago. It happens here too. We just need more space after the close quote so that our response won't get caught up within the quote it's self. support.proboards.com/thread/616695
