I don't know of a plugin for the shout box but I know a lot of people use things like Cbox on their forum. It allows history to be kept but there is a small cost involved.
Just go to google and search for Cbox.

Thanks, Laserman this is the best free live chatbox i know www.chatango.com/really easy to get and user friendly i use the standard proboards shoutbox myself though, calling it a chatbox it auto refreshes so its basically live anyways |
