Just to be clear you want that part that I pointed to with an arrow to be protruding more left and do you want it fatter, like on your banner?

Yeah, that and its lower part should be a bit more symmetric (if you imagine the part as a reversed 3) and making it a bit bigger like on the banner could be good.

O.K. I'm on it. I think I might have misunderstood your previous post but whatever, I think I understand now. I have a question before I give you another working example before putting it on the banner.
Is that backward E over the top of everything/in front because I can't tell in your image.

Also, you may want to think of any other changes you want to the rest of the banner (besides the symbol) before I put this all back together again. That said, I can't make that glow you wanted with this graphics program but is the background o.k. Any changes to the text? 


Edit: Well, I was "on it" about 5 minutes and then life offline got in the way. lol I'll try to get at this as soon as I can but it won't be tonight.

Er, I'm not sure myself but I think it either goes through the main part or is behind it.
And yeah, the rest of our team liked it, so that's fine. When it comes to other changes, hm... maybe add a tiny bit more blue to the text, so that it's not as greenish anymore (at least in my eyes).

Well, I just did it so you just don't know if anything goes through or in front of, like yours was. lol Anyway, is this any better?



Also, I did something stupid and deleted my original finished (at the time it was finished) banner, the one I can edit the layers. I can't replicate that background so will have to do something else. (I could just use your background I think or if you have any other ideas? And do you have the exact color you want for the text because it doesn't look green to me (but it is on the cyan-ish side)? So if you could give me the exact color you want, that would help? And sorry this is dragging on but it's hard to find time to mess with this.

I'll try to get this all put together for you tomorrow, provided I hear from you regarding the above stuff.

Well, the old background we had was just a plain black and nothing too interesting.
Ah, maybe have it like with the image of the symbol. 
Like, you have it pretty dark blue around the text but it gets a bit lighter the more it gets away from it (if you zoom it in you can see what I mean)

truegota , I wasn't quite sure what you wanted me to do with that light image you linked to. It is super harsh and hard on the eyes but I tried sticking it on the banner and ewww but I'll be happy to try it so you can see it, if you tell me where to put it. Maybe that isn't what you meant. And as far as the text having the dark and then lighter further out I gave it a shot but had to change the overall background and not sure if you actually wanted everything from behind the the first letter to the last letter all dark and then light further out lighter?Anyway, after trying a few things I'm giving you my first two that was just free wheeling. The first one I did a glow (sort of behind the text and the symbol but didn't like the symbol that way but then the second one, I didn't do the symbol





This is the one trying to do what you describe about the text and just didn't know what else to do.


I know I shouldn't be doing this kind of stuff so late as my mind is tired but I just couldn't find any other time. But as long as you don't mind this is dragging out, I can keep trying things until your you are (told you I was tired., lol)satisfied. Oh, and I did kind of remember what I did with the background in the first one so went with that in the first two.

Also, just in case you ever want the symbol for something else or to try your own banner, here it is and don't worry, it looks very light but it shows up just fine on a darker background.

Oh, the images were not something to be included but just for the colour, so you can see what I meant, so no worries.
The first one looks good already but it's a bit dark so I would make the writing and symbol a bit lighter, if that's possible. The glowy effect is nice, by the way, could you increase it for the symbol a bit?

Better? I lightened both the text and symbol but I hope I didn't make too much glow behind the symbol.

You're welcome. If I were you, I'd create a new theme, throw that banner on it and go to play with the colors in the Visual Editor (Admin>
Themes>Advanced Styles & CSS>
Visual Editor>
)


The blue(s) I used in the banner are #
1d2d69
and #334cac if that helps and the gray is #909093.

Also, just checking your site, while you are in the visual editor, I'd make sure the banner is centered and to get rid of that 20px gray on the left of the banner, you'd need to go into the style sheet and find where it says this...... 

#banner {
display: table-cell;
height: 0px;
background-color: #2a333c;
background-image: none;
background-position: center center;
background-repeat: repeat;
vertical-align: middle;
padding: 0px 20px;
}

......and change the 20px to 0px: .....  OR  if you can't find that css you can just add this to the bottom of your style sheet:

padding:0px!important;
}

If you get stumped on anything color related, make a new thread in the themes board.  Someone will be happy to help.
