Hi Tumbleweed. That is exactly what I need, but I have read through everything on those two links postd you listed and I have become totally confused. I need someone to give me some individual help that is contained on one thread without a lot of having to read so many pages of confusion that someone has been through. That is highly confusing and time consuming.
Can you do that for me? Can you help me get started here at ProBoards? I would surely appreciate it. I am New at coding but very anxious to learn.

I absolutely can help you. First go copy the code in Ulises post here: support.proboards.com/post/6895161Go to your template (Admin > Themes> Layout Templates> and find the template named "Thread". Click on it and then click on the "post list" tab. What you'll do is replace everything in the post list template with Ulises' code. Be sure to save changes. Now this code doesn't automatically make every first post get stickied on each page but rather only the threads you want to have the first post sticked. So basically what do is go to the first post and click edit. Where it says, "Edit Reason (optional):" type in.... sticky .... like I did in this screen cap: Save your changes to that post and it should be stickied at the top on all pages. Mind you, if you need to edit that first post for whatever reasons, you will need to enter sticky again. And that's it. On a side note, when I was helping other members we wanted the stickied post to have a little separation or difference so people knew it was the first post on subsequent pages but I don't remember if I worked something out on that or not. Let me know if that is something you'd want and I'll go digging to see if I ever found a way to do that. Oh, and one last note. This code will only work on the first post.

Thanks Tumbleweed. Now I have to get enough posts in that thread to roll over to page 2. Then I will know if it worked. Thanks again and I'll be back to let you know.

Alas!! I am so disappointed, Tumbleweed. It didn't work. I think I did exactly what you told me to. Does your first post still show "sticky" in the Last Edit? It is possible that maybe you have changed things around on your site so much the script can't find the first post. We may need a link to the thread you are trying this on. It definitely works. You can see it on this test site of mine.

This is the link I have been working on. It does still show the sticky in last edited ourfantasycastle.freeforums.net/thread/6/coffeeIt most definitely works on your Board Tumbleweed. That is exactly what I am looking for. And yes, I have made many changes. I have done this purely by trial and error and unfortunately, I still have one more error I am searching for. I have some rose colored text on my board that I can't seem to find where to change it. Just wondering. Do you have a guide somewhere that explains what each section does? The terminology is different than where I am moving my board from and I just learned how to make skins there. So here I am learning all over again. I am really grateful for rthe support here at ProBoards. Thank you so very much.

Totally understand having to relearn something. What sections are you talking about exactly? We do have the Forum Help Guide that explains a lot of things.

Oh My Goodness, Tumbleweed. Such a little thing, but that did it. LOL!! You're a genius. #1 is now on top in that thread.
I will print myself a copy of that Forum Help Guide so I can have it before me to make notes on.
I'd be ever so grateful for help in finding where to change that rose color text. Thank you so much for your cheerful help.

Well, I'll tell you, wayyyyyyy too many times. lol The guide is very helpful. Now I just need you to tell me what text specifically you are talking about or do you mean all rose colored text?

First, let me say this. I just completed enough posts in another category to turn over to page 2 and my #1 post is right there at the top. That is so important. Thanks again for that. And on that rose colored text, it is all of it. I would like it to be black,#000000, Some of my members have problems with color blindness and some colors are difficult or impossible to read. I need to make things easy for them. ................................................................................................................................................... Oh!! Much to my dismay, the other category's #1 post is no longer on top. It is here: ourfantasycastle.freeforums.net/thread/31/precious-furry-feathered-friends?page=2................................................................................................................................................ Tumbleweed, I got your code and in my attempt to edit something, I somehow managed to delete your post. Alas!! I sidn't even know I could delete someone else's post. I'm so sorry. .................................................................................................................................................... I think I am too stresses out. Your post is back

I'm a bit pressed for time at the moment so no time to go dig through the visual editor settings to find which settings it is, but try just adding this to the bottom of your style sheet:
.list a {color: #000000!important;
If you want to change the hover add this too and change the 0000ff to whatever you want:
.list a:hover {color: #0000ff!important;}

will this work if there is no last edit line. I took mine out so wondering if there is a work around for this? Did you remove the option for members to edit or just remove the edit from showing. If the latter, then you could put that part back and then with css tell it not to display. Seems to work on my test site. I created a new theme using the display none css I just mentioned on this Test Site (And in case you looked at the other theme, that one doesn't have the miniprofile showing in the stickied post where as this theme does.) Anyway, not sure what you did to remove that edit part but if you reverse what you did so it does show you can then just add this to the bottom of your css style sheet. .posts .post .foot{display:none;}
