Alright, on this forum I made, whenever I try to do something to the text the tags show up on the sides of it. Example: Say if I wanted to slant the text (Like this) it would show {i} texthere {/i} on the sides (Not in bold, I just wanted to make sure you knew what it was.), and it wouldn't slant the text until I saved the editing, instead of just doing it automatically. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with coding, but I wanted to post it here to make sure.. I'm really sorry if it's not about coding though! I'd really like to fix this if possible, I don't want to confuse anyone who's signed up on my forum when they use it.

If you hit the preview tab, the BBcode tags will disappear & show you how the post will really look. You can change the default view by editing your profile in your settings tab.

eroo, Kind of confused by your issue, as you used the italics properly in your post. In posts, you need to use brackets [] around your tags and not {}. If you are using custom pages or areas that accept HTML then you would use <> around the tags.
