Hello. I'm trying to work out why the links I'm creating aren't clickable. I think the code below is correct except that I've deliberately left out the </a> tag. I'm not sure where to put it or if there's something else wrong.
<a href="link here"><td><left><span style="color:blue">text here</td>
Thank you.

Hello. I'm trying to work out why the links I'm creating aren't clickable. I think the code below is correct except that I've deliberately left out the </a> tag. I'm not sure where to put it or if there's something else wrong. <a href="link here"><td><left><span style="color:blue">text here</td> Thank you. You can't put your link starting before a td tag but you can within td tags. Also <left> isn't a legitimate html tag at all and the above you posted is missing the closing span tag. Provided the td tags are in a actual table (<table><tr><td>hyperlink</td></tr></table>) it would be like this: other table stuff here..
<td><a href="linkhere.com"><span style="color:blue;">Text Here</span></a></td>
...more table stuff hereYou shouldn't need to align it left because that is how it would be by default. You'd only need to align it left if you have something else before it aligning things to the right or you need it left of something else. If you don't actually have a table then it should just be the hyperlink by itself: <a href="linkhere.com"><span style="color:blue;">Text Here</span></a>If there is a legit reason you need to have it aligned left you may want to post a link to your site and indicate where you want it to be left aligned because there are several ways you can align something left but it depends what all is surrounding the link, what is the best route to go. Hope this helps.

Thank you, Tumbleweed. I've applied your code to the necessary lines of code on my forum and everything works perfectly now. If you'd be kind enough to take a look, the area of concern was is in the right-hand sidebar called Competition Winners... The reason I used the left tag was because I needed to have the members' names under the heading Winner/s, centred. talkaboutfootballforum.com

I took a look and it looks good to me and I see what you mean. Is there anything else you need help with or are we all done here? By the way, I wish you the best of luck with your forum and I hope sports fans (football) flock to your site. lol

That's all for now, thank you. Unfortunately, the sports fans out there must be flocking elsewhere. Any tips or advice on how to attract more would be appreciated.

I don't have a lot of suggestions other than advertising and posting interesting topics every day if possible. I'd pull out all stops when it comes to advertising. If you haven't already, make a Twitter and Facebook for your site, advertise here, of course. And you may want to read here: support.proboards.com/board/140/managing-forum
