What are some good image hosts?

For some clarification, in case anyone else is reading this, ProBoards doesn't want to be known as an image host since they're not a CDN and their upload system is only for use with ProBoards themes and related images.

Otherwise though, have you checked out the external resources thread? There are several image hosts listed there that come recommended by other ProBoards users.

You need to be careful with image hosting/sharing

Although, yes some FREE solution's exist, they are pretty open(public) which in turn means your images are public(to anyone)

If you want a more private solution, you would need to pay a monthly service charge, which can vary.

I have looked into an image hosting/sharing solution for proboards but it turned out to be too expensive.

Hosting images can be cheap(amazon S3), distribution of those images(amazon cloudFare CDN) though is quite expensive, depending on your user base.

Imagine if ALL of your users were based in the US, then (storage and distribution) BOTH would be quite cheap.
If on the other hand, alot of your members were based in Australia, and your storage region was US, a CDN would charge more fee's to you.

I just switched over to Post Image imgbb.com/ .... can't give a real review yet as I just started there, but it works so far!

Flickr is really good. You can create an account for free and you can store up to 1 TB of photos. I use it for my forum.

I think postimages.org/ is okay.
I do not know what CDN means.
