Post Number.

I added the template code in this thread to add post number information to a thread.

If I go to this thread:

pistonsforum.freeforums.net/thread/37/book-club?page=3

I see the info on Page 3.

If I click on page 2 or page 1, I don't see the post number.

If I right-click and open page 2 or 1 in a new tab, then I see the post number.

The same thing happens with this thread:

pistonsforum.freeforums.net/thread/41/pistons-mix-kyrie-irving?page=3

I see the info on page 3.

If I right-click and open page 1 or 2 in a new tab, then I see the post number.

But if I just click on page 1 or 2, then I don't see the post number.

Have you tried the script by Chris that goes in your global footer? That way it'll work on all themes and i just tested it and it works perfectly no matter how many pages.

i think when reading that thread you linked to, everyone was going the script route. I did test the template change and have the same issues as you so I assume the template version is defunct and you should go with the one that goes in your G. footer.

We use Chris 's script in the Global Footer, Tumbleweed , and it works perfectly.

Yes, I saw.

But I was confirming because we literally have threads that run 1000 pages + and I didn't think you tested on an "active" forum. So I just wanted to assure the OP he won't encounter the problem he's encountered with the other code since we've used this for four years.

Looks good so far. I used the script that goes in the global footer, and commented out the one from the thread template.

Will report back if there's any issues.
