Hello everyone, If anyone is up for the task, I'd like to have new category images for each of the seven categories on the homepage, I would very much appreciate it! Basically, I want to leave some aspects of this up to the creator's imagination. However, I would like professional icons/images that can represent each category at this gaming community forum. What I'm trying to accomplish here is to modernize my forum to an extent, while staying unique at the same time.

 Please have a look, and if you're able to do this job, I would like to thank you in advance! I've spent many years working on this gaming community, so I would like to find someone who's able to share my vision as per the graphical appeal I seek.

PS: I want something that works together and flows nicely, icon/images that are the same size with the same format in mind. I've seen numerous forums accomplish nice category icons such as here: nintenpedia.com/forum/

I'm looking to add a little modern touch to GamingBoards.net, and would appreciate it very much if anyone was able to help me complete this project.

Here's the thing.

None of us are invested in your forum, and you're not a paying client, so putting the onus on the designer to start 100% from scratch (since you provide 0 resources, not even a colour scheme or the total # of images you expect) is asking a LOT. All you've provided are buzzwords ('modern' and 'professional') that, to be blunt, are subjective -- case in point, I think the images used on the site you linked to are boring and too kitschy to be professional. But on the other hand, you do not. So, obviously if I were to spend time doing something to "artist discretion" using what I view as "professional" it would not be in line with your tastes.

I think you would have far more success finding someone -- not me, I don't take on unpaid projects anymore unless they're small -- to complete this for you if you provided more guidance instead of expecting people to pour several hours of grunt work into a forum they're not invested in.

I highly doubt anyone will want to go searching for potential images, do the cropping and/or adding text, only to find out you may not like what they picked. The rules state you need to find the images you want used.

Also you are saying icons and then images but I'm assuming you mean the like the coffee time image which seems to be 390x68. Do you want that same size for the other boards? Also any particular font style, color, or do you even want text on these?
