Lynx is the color of the image surrounding the number collected changeable? Right now, it's a burnt orange color, I'd like to change that.

Go to Admin/Plugins/Manage/Scavenger Hunt/Build Plugin/Components/CSS and find line 71 of the style sheet. Mine now looks like this:

left: 5px;
background: green;
color: white;
padding: 5px;
border: dashed;
border-color: yellow;
border-radius: 10px;
font-weight: bold;
}

Here, you can change the background colour, text colour, border colour and border style. I have chosen dashed now, but you may also use dotted or solid. Experiment a little and I'm sure that you'll find a combination that you are happy with.

Find the gif or JPEG that you want to use and copy it's URL. Then go to the Admin menu, Plugins/Manage/Scavenger Hunt, and then click the What's the Prize tab. Three lines down there is a box for Prize Image URL. Paste your image's URL into that box. Click the Save Changes button at the bottom.

There are also other images within that tab you could change. I have a lot of fun with it and change it frequently. Play around with it, you can't break it. It's helpful if you have a test forum you could use to use to get it all set up before you go live on your forum.

Currently, no. It runs forum-wide. However, you can set up a Member Group where your members can opt-out of the Scavenger Hunt (so it doesn't run for them). If you're looking to have it where you can make it so certain people can't play, set up a 2nd Member Group but make it a Hidden Group - then just add those people into that group. Then, on the Plugins > Manage page, click Edit and add that group in as well.

Just to note, the thread linked allows members to opt-in / opt-out at any time. The other method I described makes it so Staff has to add them into that group (equivalent to opting out), but that member won't be able to opt back in.

Thanks Lynx. I think I had that part figured out! But, is there a way for the group name I created to not be displayed in their mini profile? I created a group called "No Scavenger", but I don't want that displayed in their mini profile.

Hidden groups, if I recall correctly, do not get displayed in profiles or mini-profiles.

I've just added a reply on that thread that gives the steps for making a "forced opt-out" group.

That worked. BUT.... the test member I made a member of that group still sees the images pop in.

Wait -- I figured it out. I missed the step where you had to click the Edit button. I was doing it from the What's the Prize tab.

Did you click Edit on the Admin > Plugins > Manage page for the Scavenger Hunt plugin and add your new group to the Except groups?

Well, if you've got both member groups set up, your "bah humbug" members can also opt themselves out.
