Custom pages - Trying to replicate a certain layout

I've been remodeling the home page of our forum. Now we use many different themes to cater to different members likes and what not. Our original & default theme can with a fantastic layout for information (Updates, Staff links, Events & Information on the time), since some members don't use this theme they don't always notice new events or update or a change in the year/month that's way I've been wanting to add it to the home page as it's the first section everyone sees when logging in, since the theme (Otherworld by Jawn) had a great layout I wanted to keep it on the homepage across all the themes, I've used the same HTML & css from Layout templates and Style sheet. In the last image is how it shows on any other theme, so It still works and is setup correctly (bar the fact you can't read the text under time since thats white) well on the otherworld theme it shows exactly how it should (First image) bar the fact it's purple but that's not an issue.

I've tested it with bost having the forum wrapper embedded & not - The forum wrapper is current embedded and we would prefer if it stayed embedded.

If we can't get this to work, I'll just find another way to get a similar layout for our home page.

Would anyone be able to help replicate a similar look as the first image (Dark background, the bright light, each section, image layout, etc) over fixing this then?

Bump? Guess I might just look for another way of doing this

Maybe check with the skin creator first if you can even use bits of their skin on other themes? They would also be more able to help you

I would but sadly I have no way of contacting them, the forum they shared their theme on has the account deleted and I don't know of any others that they are on. Think it might just be better if I build a different home page layout then this is guess. It'll work better with other themes.

Wow didn't realise they'd deleted their account on wicked wonderland. If you can give me a few days I can play with things on one of my other sites (I'm part way through designing a FFXV roleplay site)

I just had to check that for a second but sadly yes the account was deleted, unsure when but since I first found their themes their account showed as deleted. Thank you for that Boy_Wonder, I appetite the help!

Perfectly fine just thought I'd like it anyway. The forum I'll be using this on uses a range of different themes, we current have Otherworld (Default), Revolution, Wild Skin and Metro Stripe but we'll be adding some new ones soon. The problem I found with it is the background - I tested in on a range of different skins (Lights out, Revolution, Default PB skin) and it just has a transparent background, on all themes but Otherworld it shows as the second image (In the first posts) with the only change being the background colour to whatever the theme's background colour is.

Would it be easier to replicate this into a template and then changing '[]' to '<>' so that it would load as HTML in the custom page?
