So what I would like to do is the following:
In a specific forum, we'll call it the support forum, I'd like a specific staff group's posts to have a different background and font color so the post stand out from members. So the whole row area for a "Support Staff" post in threads inside the "Support Forum" only. I don't want their posts to be different across the forum, just in that one forum. Is there a way to do this by targeting just that forum and just that specific group when posting in that forum?
Thanks in Advanced!

Thank you, but No, I don't think it will work. I'm looking for a layout template like thing where I could apply that particular style for specific user IDS within one specific forum. That plugin requires that staff group to be able to access plugins. And, that plugin only targets groups, not a specific board. The entire background post (mini-profile & post itself) would need to be affected for what I'm looking for. See example below (this is on a completely different platform). The first post shown would be the staff post within that particular board only by the "support staff member."

Teg - Gotcha. That said, you misunderstand one aspect of the plugin. Staff only need access to the plugin if they are configuring the appearance of posts. Since you're fine with the template modifications, it seems safe to assume that the only person configuring posts will be you, so you wouldn't need to add additional staff permissions for anyone. You have two options depending on how you want to go about this. What I personally recommend is the following: admin > structure > layout templates, then select the thread option, followed by the post list tab. Find this line, and add what I've marked here in red: <td class="$[post.unblocked_class] {if $[post.board_id] == 1 && {if $[post.created_by.group.name] == "Administrator"}adminclass{/if}">Then in your theme stylesheet, add the following: .adminclass { background-color: #ff0000; }A board where the admin group posts change vs A board where they don'tObviously you can change the class name, group ID(s), and CSS to whatever you want. I presume you wouldn't need specific assistance for that, but let me know if you do. Also in the future if you want to modify the templates specifically, I recommend posting in the templates board as per the instruction in the headers: The Coding Help board is exclusively for general coding help, not for modifications having to do with themes, templates, or plugins. If you have any questions involving those three categories please post them in the appropriate board.Hope this helps!

I will try this out soon to see if it's a fix for what I'm trying to do. Thank you. And I posted it here because it's a general coding question while it does happen in templates, I wasn't sure if that was the case and either way it's coding so I figured it'd fit here. I was initially going to post it in the Support Forum.
