Hello! I am working on tweaking some of the skin/layout on one of my forums, but I can't seem to figure out how to mimic something I did on one of my old forums. this is what i did on the old forum that i want to mimic on the new one: Do you see the transparent background that surrounds the banner, boards and sidebar with the pink border around that? How do I add that to my current forum? Old forum: heartscontent.proboards.com/New Forum: dimension-warp.proboards.com/

eyeknownothing , You can just add this to the bottom of your style sheet and change the colors to your preference. #wrapper{ background-color: rgba(255, 127, 80, 0.3); border: 2px solid pink; } If you don't know the rgb color you can convert your hex color here. You may also want to add padding to that as I've never liked it when it hugs the forum. #wrapper{ background-color: rgba(255, 127, 80, 0.3); border: 2px solid pink; padding:8px; }

just change the background-color to
#wrapper{ background-color: transparent; } OR remove it You may also want to not have the body background repeat and simply have it cover your layout, If so, change the following
body{ background-size: cover; background-position: 100% 100%; background-repeat: no-repeat; }

What I gave you shouldn't make the everything transparent. It should affect only the wrapper color. Maybe I'm not getting what you are asking and your old forum link is in Maint. mode so can't compare but if you mean, less transparent then you need to increase the 0.3 part. Like here is your color on your forum now converted to rgb and with it less transparent. #wrapper{ background-color: rgba(11,20,33, 0 .7); border: 2px solid pink; padding:8px; }

ah! the problem was i missed the 0.3 at the end of the rgb and when i tried to add a transparency to it in a different way it literally made everything transparent. thanks! i got it figured out now! just didn't realize that the end number was the transparency!

I should have explained that to you to begin with. Sorry about that. Not sure where my head was. Anyway, glad that did the trick.
