I'm not sure how to go about this, if it would require a script or just CSS or what exactly.
Basically I have the thread titles where they are listed on my boards styled as below.
/*change link styles*/ .threads .main .link a:link{color: #000000;} .threads .main .link a:visited{color: #2F4F4F;} .threads .main .link a:hover{color: #0000FF;} .threads .main .link a:visited:hover{color: #0000FF;}
What I would like is a way that when a new post has been added to a thread, in addition to the 'new' icon showing up, that the thread title would go back to the same styling for
.threads .main .link a:link{color: #000000;}
Is that possible? How do I go about it?

The thread list layout applies a .new class to table rows (threads) that contain new posts. You can use this to target the link.
.list .item.new a { color: #000; } Or, if you want to follow the same pattern you have above:
.threads .new .main .link a:link { color: #000 }
