In your admin menu, go to structure>categories & boards. There you can set permissions via the cog icon for who can view, post, set up polls etc for each board.

I just had a guest post yesterday. I do not understand what you mean by cog Here's a screen shot. The cog icon is the left most icon you can see over on the right. The menu is what you'll see in the permissions tab when you click on the cog

When I go to edit properties I do not get a box that says permissions. What am I doing wrong. Is it possible for you to set all the boards to the one that matches the screen shot. Thanks

Thanks Sounds like the forum owner (admin) needs to give you the permission to make those changes. As far as I remember you need to set each board individually which can be handy if you have boards you specifically want to keep from guests even seeing.

I found the place I need to be. You need to do each board one at a time. Guests cannot create new threads, but they cannot still post. Any way to change this. Thanks.

Hi Susan, it's all here in the same area - click on the cog for each individual board (not category), go into the permissions tab, and set your permissions. A typical setting is: everyone can view it, everyone can access it, members and staff can start threads and reply to threads. Tommy
