Remove banner and nav bar from headers of all boards?

Is there a way to remove or at least hide the banner and nav bar in the headers of all boards except on the main index page of your forum?
The only thing I would like to display above the boards would be the ads of course.

Yup, you could surround the following with the two lines:

{if $[route.name] == "home"}
//<header> </header> tags here
{/if}

like so:




Though please note that it might may forum navigation and logging in/out more difficult.
