Hello. I was wondering if it would be possible to make a textbox that has a link in it already but whatever a user types in the box will add the text to the end of the url. Since Monetary System has a gift code feature and the prefix is proboards.com/?monetarygift=
If a user was to type something like PBGift2017 the url will turn to proboards.com/?monetarygift=PBGift2017 and once they click a button such as (Check Code) they will be redirected to that page to claim the gift if it exists. Does this make sense? I can try to explain it clearer if necessary but this is what I got for now. Any help would be much appreciated <3 Thanks, Jonathan (TheSupremePatriot)

It's possible, but since we don't have access to the server side of ProBoards, this would have to be built in JavaScript, which means that the gift code would be accessible to anyone who knows where to look in the page source. Does that make sense?
If we were to build this into a plugin, the gift code would be slightly more difficult to find, but still accessible.
Maybe someone else has a better idea.

I think I understand.
But I think my question may have been misinterpreted just a little bit.
Im trying to get a text box that just adds text to the end of a specified URL. When a person types a code in, regardless of it being correct or not since the Monetary Plugin already generates Failed Gift Code page....
I don't see how it could need "root" access to perform a seemingly simple function.
In a weird way I kind of see it working as the forum search feature, the forum search page has a standard url prefix but the search term gets added to the end of it taking you to the requested page. This is kind of what I am looking for.
