I am looking for the 'Recent Threads' section to be put into a section on my site. Ideally into the highlighted area

Hi, Novaskyi. The Recently Updated Threads Sidebar plugin has an option to insert its contents into any element you specify the ID of. It's the closest available thing you'll get to a Recent Threads section on top of every page.

I have installed it but cannot figure out how to get it to where I want it. The area I'm needing it doesn't appear to have an ID. It's a pre-made skin and I'm not very good with coding. Are you able to help? Brian

Just to confirm, you want to replace the Staff section with the list of recent threads?

In Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper lines 170-201 are generating the list of staff avatars in that container.
Remove the very first closing </div> tag on line 202, then remove the contents of lines 170-201. The end result should be something like this:
On that blank line in the middle you'll want to add an element with an ID to insert the Recently Updated Threads Sidebar plugin's contents into. You can place this on that line:
Finally, go to Plugins > Manage > Recently Updated Threads Sidebar. Click on the Settings tab. Change the Offset dropdown to No. Then type this into the Container ID field and save the plugin:

That's worked, thank you. Would that now start showing any threads posted from here onwards?
The plugin doesn't show up on any other pages, but the rest of the pages are centered, maybe because the plugin isn't affecting them?

Based on how the plugin is designed it looks like you need to select the boards you'd like it to display in at the bottom of its About tab.

Oh, marvelous. Thank you. I did read that part before but didn't quite think about using it. -Sorry.
