This isn't possible.
The ability to edit PMs has to be built into the forum software itself. A plugin cannot achieve this as plugins can only add HTML, CSS, and Javascript to the page. They cannot alter the behavior of existing forum functionality.
PMs were intentionally designed to be non-editable, so there's unfortunately no chance of this becoming a feature anytime soon.
