www.aussiecraftbrewing.com.auHi, I would like to add a recipe data base to my theme. I originally used a theme from the library, but have added quite a lot of plugins and changes. I want members to be able to upload recipes in BBcode, there needs to be about 20 categories of recipe "types" ( I can add the content, once the area is there) and the member chooses which section to put their recipe in ie "IPA" . Once submitted the recipe is added to that section of the DB and a discussion thread is automatically created. When a member goes onto the Recipe DB page they choose the style from a dropdown, ie "IPA" , and all the IPA recipes appear with their ranking and vouching info, member like count and vouch number (member can vouch from dropdown list option). The member then chooses which recipe they want to look at, once they open the recipe, they can click a button that takes them to the discussion thread for that recipe. I can add the recipe types, vouch list options etc. But I need someone more skillfull than me to build. Thanks Brad

Hey aussiecraftbrewing . Automatic thread creation is against ProBoards TOS so it wouldn't be possible. Perhaps a better solution to what you are describing may be to dedicate a board and make use of the labels option together with this plugin and this plugin (these are both optional). Here is what I was thinking: -The board would be the Recipe DB page -This board would have different labels such as IPA type etc: -This is where the labels in the screenshot above come in. After you finish making the thread with the recipe content and the thread icon you can then apply a label to it as well as lock it, sticky it and everything else you can do with threads. The magic of labels is that you can click on them in the thread list and they will take you to all the threads that have the label applied to them. Here is a live example here on support: support.proboards.com/board/38/plugins?filters[]=label_id:eq:246 Or you can go to this board and click on the "Resolved" label to see what I mean. -You can then simply make another discussion thread and link to it within the recipe post or you can simply not lock the thread and leave it open for discussion within the same recipe thread, your choice. -Another thing which a plugin may not be able to accomplish (depending on how it is implemented) is take advantage of the search feature for the board. If you have any questions let me know.
