As a note, Forever Sunshine - I didn't see the code in the signature anymore. If you took it out, you may want to put it back in so it can be checked (hard to check it if it's not there). And, yes, it does seem rather strange. Yeah, I'll stick it back in tomorrow when the Reds are online. Thanks

A quick glance around the forum as a guest shows that no one has images or links in their signatures that I could find, only plain text. Can you try other tags to verify that they haven't disabled BBCode in signatures? Sorry, Forever Sunshine . I just saw an extra slash that's not needed unless adding width and height. <a href="URL ADDRESS FOR LINK"><img src="URL ADDRESS FOR IMAGE"></a>
For future reference, that's incorrect. The HTML5 specification does not require any void tags (tags that cannot contain child data, such as text or other elements) to self-close, period. The slash before the closing '>' is valid and optional, but it is never required. The presence (or lack) of any attribute(s) within the tag does not affect this. Void elements did require self-closing slashes under XHTML, because XML requires all tags to be closed. Once again, tags' attributes did not affect this practice.

I always add it if I include additional data such as height/width and figured it was worth a shot since this case is so baffling.

I admit I only skimmed the thread but note that there is an option in the forum settings to allow or disallow the use of BBCode in signatures, it's likely the admins have set that to disallow.

You're probably right. I'd forgotten there is that setting. That's probably what it is. Thank you for reminding me.

I'd totally forgotten that was a choice in our settings.

This is what it is, I checked the forum settings and Allow BBCode in Signatures is set to No.Well, I feel like an idiot now for not thinking of that option - considering the number of forums I own.
