Greetings! I recently received some assistance from Scott support.proboards.com/thread/645576/likes-talliedAll went well and the added lines of code worked as-advertised. He said the likes column we added to the member list would not be sortable but that might be possible with a plug-in. Thanks in advance.

It's been a few days so I guess it's okay to bump this. Lots of reads, no replies. Is it my breath, cuz I'd be willing to take mint.

Greetings! I recently received some assistance from Scott support.proboards.com/thread/645576/likes-talliedAll went well and the added lines of code worked as-advertised. He said the likes column we added to the member list would not be sortable but that might be possible with a plug-in. Thanks in advance. The possibility is there, however the method is unorthodox and not user friendly. There's really only one scenario where you would be able to sort by likes. That would be by adding the likes to the layout template as you have done. And then you would have to thumb through every page of members for your forum. (without refreshing) And then it would allow you to create a "master list" with all user's that could be sorted. I did that once. I made a button that the user clicked, then it collected all members data and thumbed through all your members. Then I was told that it was not allowed. So, in summary, You would have to make a new list, where the user would have to manually thumb through all your members pages, and then it would create a master list that could be sorted. (Note the plugin would be combining the user list and doing the sorting through it's own code, not proboards) That means it would be way too much work, too confusing for the user, and not really worth it as it stands. If it could have been automated, like I had done before, it would have been a nifty feature I would have released years ago.

Wow, that's disappointing. It seems like every idea I have results in "you're not allowed to do that on ProBoards".
Hate the message, but I won't shoot the messenger. I do appreciate you spending the time to reply. *like*

I do appreciate you spending the time to reply. *like* Reason being: Generated too many proboards server requests on one user initiated action.
