Ok! So, my newest theme tampering question is this - this theme I have does not show new post notifications on its main board list. I'mt trying to get the new posts (and even the old post folder icon) to show up so that my players can see if there's something new happening on the board. I've found the general area where this is in the layout template, but I"m not sure what exactly to change to get them to show up.

As you saw in the Board List layout template the icon is still there, but the problem is there's CSS in the style sheet that's telling the page to hide it from view. You can find this CSS on line 1703 of Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS > Style Sheet.

table.list td.icon, table.list th.icon { display: none; }

If you remove this line your theme will show not only board icons but thread and conversation icons as well on their respective pages. If you just want board icons to show while leaving every other page of the forum as is you can change it to this.

.threads table.list td.icon, .threads table.list th.icon, .conversations table.list td.icon, .conversations table.list th.icon { display: none; }
