Ok, so I was walking in the mall with my dad, because calories get out REEEEEEE, and I came across a public builtin board, and thought, 'Hey, that would be a great place to advertise my minecraft server/forum.' I asked my father if anyone can put things there, and he said yes. If you do this right, you could get lots of traffic and new members! Here is what you need to ask yourself first...
1. What is my demographic?
And when I say this, I mean your target demographic, The demographic you are aiming to appeal to. If its younger kids, like my forum, you should get better boosts in traffic from Toy stores, game stores, and daycares. Any other demographic you could just about put anywhere.
2. What is my forum about?
If your forum doesn't match with where its placed, it won't get as much of a boost. If you put a gaming forum in a hardware store, you wont get lots of traffic, but if you put that same forum in a game-stop, that will do wonders! However, If you put them up at lets say Walmart you'll get a huge boost no matter what because of its variety of people.
3. Does my forum have a VIP or premium rank?
If so, try to make a less common card that has an offer for that rank, FOR FREE. (If you feel like it, you can also make one that offers a free staff rank, but that can be risky.)
