What have your experiences been like with Viglink?

I am thinking about enabling Viglink Insert on my forum so I can raise a few bucks to really tailor my forum to my liking, but I am wary because it might look....tacky, for lack of a better word. What have your experiences been like using ProBoards' Viglink Insert feature?

Don't worry about Viglink Insert until you have the traffic and daily content to make it worthwhile. As you said, it looks tacky (and a lot of people feel the redirects look like spam or like they've been infected with a virus / malware). Your profits will be slim unless you have a lot of content to convert into a link, so it's pointless otherwise.

I doubt many proboard forums make much of anything from Viglink, I've tried it, even with a fair amount of traffic I didn't make a cent.

First off you have to pay for the space. second is most people don't understand how marketing works, some forums make alot of money because they understand, companies are willing to PPC, most ads are 1.50C per click, you want to find ads willing to pay 10.00c per click, its that simple. on-page SEO is very important to get those type of ads, proboards default theme is not geared towards this.

Viglink ads always take me where I don't need to go. No, I don't believe you (viglink) when you tell me I have a virus on my phone and need to download some dodgy app. No, I don't believe you when you try and tell me I should join a "Better Than Tinder" site.

I am so ready for an end to unscrupulous ad agencies.
