New Posts in Board Condition?

Hi all,

I would like to create an icon that only shows when a board has new posts (this needs to be separate from the normal board images). Is there a piece of code that would allow me to fill in the blank - {if BOARD HAS NEW POSTS}show this{else}show this{/if}?

Any help someone could give would be greatly appreciated

Hi, JD.

Your forum appears to be purposely obscuring or hiding the ads and footer text. In Themes > Layout Templates > Board > Board List you can use $[board.is_new] to determine whether or not a board is marked as new.

Example:

{if $[board.is_new]}
    Anything placed here will only be visible if this board has new posts
{/if}

Oh crap! I had the ads at the top of my categories, I must have hidden them somehow. Apologies! I'll sort that out now...

Don't forget the top ad as well. That's still obscured behind your banner.

Thanks! I've been looking for that. It used to be above the owl image on the athenian category. It just disappeared and I didn't know why. I'm gonna dig it out...
