Okay, I have no idea what I have done to cause this because I have only just noticed it after finishing the site. But, on my posting pages, the thread summary is repeating each message, so that every message is doubled? I'm not sure why it's doing this....? I have a duplicate code around the board template, with one hidden and one displayed so that I can have different board layouts in the encyclopedia to anywhere else on the site, but I have no idea if this is the cause or why (it's just my best guess). Can anyone see what I've done wrong? aeipathy.proboards.com/

Hullo!
It might help if you posted any codes for us to look at. Could always try going to your Layout Templates -> Posting Page, Thread Summary tab (saving any custom styling you have in there) then hitting the 'Reset to Default' button to see if that changes anything.

Hey Nori, Thanks for the advice! The Thread Summary tab is actually the default - I've never messed with it or customised it. It's definitely a code I have in place for the boards, because the Conversation Summary doesn't repeat. I have two different board/post list layouts in my layout templates. One entitled board_enc and the other board_norm. I have the board_enc hidden by default, and the board_norm shown by default. Then in the Headers and Footers of the Encyclopedia board I have the class displays reversed. That way I get a different layout for my Encyclopedia board than my other boards. Everything works fine, except that the thread summary then shows double the posts. The Encylopedia board, however, only shows the thread summary once (correctly) when I edit posts. It's just the "norm" ones that show it twice... I can't work out what I've done wrong... :S

Just curious how have you hidden the encyclopedia one? Because I -believe- there's an easier way to do it then potentially what you've done if I'm reading right (again being able to see any codes you've applied etc would make it easier) Right now I'm effectively shooting in the dark and spitballing ideas based on maybes

I don't know which code is responsible, but it's definitely a Javascript code at fault as I can only duplicate the issue with Javascript enabled in the browser and when the issue happens the browser freezes for a few seconds while it's processing it.
The following are the only places that HTML and Javascript are sourced from on the posting page, so it'll be something in one of these:
- Themes > Layout Templates > Forum Wrapper - Themes > Layout Templates > Posting Page - Themes > Layout Templates > Posting Page > Thread Summary - Any plugins you have installed in Plugins > Manage - Structure > Headers & Footers > Global Header & Footer - The headers & footers for the board the thread resides in - The headers & footers for the category the thread's board resides in
