Hello there!
I was looking for a plugin that would do the following:
I have a role called 'RoleX' and a role 'RoleY' I assign both roles to a user. on board A I set RoleX as moderator and on board B I set RoleY as moderator. RoleX appears under the users name when posting in board A but RoleY shows when posting in board B
When posting in board C (where he /she is a normal user), the user Rank should be visible
Basically: when a group is mod on a board, and the user is part of that group, the group should be labeld there where the stars etc are.
If you know a plugin that could do this or want to write me one, I thank you! ❤

Just a question: does anyone actually read these threads?

Just a question: does anyone actually read these threads? Most volunteer coders appear to have gone inactive, as they are waiting for V6 to be released before they continue coding for proboards, so requests are not being filled often/quickly currently. All that can be done is continue to bump your request every 24 hours. Remember, while it is frustrating to not hear a response from anyone, these plugin creators are regular members just like you and me who are not paid for their time or help; if they assist in coding, they are doing it for absolutely nothing besides the desire to help and be kind. Therefore, it is unfair of us to demand or expect anything from them, for they owe us nothing and are under no obligations. They're just good samaritan volunteers. Trust me, I understand - I've been bumping a request thread since January and it often feels defeating and tiring (though my request is much more complicated so that also undoubtedly lends to the length of time I've waited) - but patience will eventually yield reward, I believe. :)

So there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that member groups only display one at a time. There is 0 way to actually determine whether someone is in a group or not unless it is displaying in their profile. If they're in more than one group, the only information that is actually displayed -- and therefore, the only information that we can get -- is what is showing. The good news is, there's a sort of work around that you can do using layout templates. It won't be perfect, but no one would really know the difference from a visual standpoint (and it wouldn't matter role wise if all their permissions are sufficiently assigned in the admin panel). However, this does require you being comfortable with editing the layout templates. If you're interested in that, pop on over to the Template Request Board and see if someone can help you out (it might be me, but someone else could get to it first. Templates are a lot easier to learn than an entire scripting language so there are more people capable of giving assistance with these).

I guess it isn't that much of a problem if it only works for one group at a time (the one displayed in their profile) but it is really important that the "rank" does not show in boards they are not mod in. would that be possible?
