Senshi Alliance is a fan made site for Sailor Moon fans.

The game feature of Senshi Alliance allows you to create your own senshi or use your own pre-existing fan senshi with stats and level them up by completing missions.
The missions are completed through writing or drawing your senshi’s reactions to the mission prompts.

There are other features of our site like rolelplaying, sharing art/fanfics or just hanging out and talking about Sailor Moon or anything in general.

I’m testing a mini dice battler for my forum and would love it if others would test it out and give me some feedback. 
I made the board accessible for guests to post to test this function. All you need is a transparent png or jpg image of a character and an enemy which I will provide.

I got so excited to review this because I love Sailor Moon, but I'll admit I was super disappointed. I know that's not what any admin wants to hear, so here's a bullet point list as to why:

- It's so empty. You've got boards for RPs that don't take place within the plot of the forum including a place for RPs that are with the forum premise but not in the main story... but no actual place to RP beyond your story prompts? It's a really strange way to RP. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose, but I think what a vast majority of RPers are looking for is at minimum is an entire section where they can RP within the story setting, not just a single board. Combining "Literature" and "RP" in the same area is bizarre as well, if this is an RP forum.

- Furthering on the "it's so empty" remark: the OOC-stuff is completely bare. You don't even have any starter topics! Remember that a lot of people are intimidated by empty boards -- they don't want to make a mistake and put something in the wrong place, so having a starter topic or two in each board can give people an idea of the kinds of content you're looking for, and encourage them to participate even if they don't yet have the confidence to create their own thread.

- Your rules state you can make your own Senshi, but there's no way to create an actual biography for them with their history and such. Now, guests can't see member profiles, so if you want to go the route you're on (which I can respect, especially with custom fields and such), you'll need to create some sort of character roster or directory that gives guests a brief look at what kinds of Senshi / characters already exist.

- There's also nothing on whether or not you can play a canon character? I'd want to play Ami, rather than my own Senshi. I can't tell if that's possible on your forum.

- You have no RP rules? I get that this isn't a standard format RP, but even in the vein of early 00's RP forum it's a bit bare. There's nothing to govern what kind of characters are acceptable (can I turn Naruto into a Senshi? can I be a regular person who is friends with the Senshi? can I be a villain? what kind of powers can I have?). I wouldn't join something if I didn't know what my restrictions were -- I don't want to spend my limited free time creating a character only to find out that you don't want that character type or my character's powers, etc.

- You don't have enough in your plot. It relies too heavily on members to push the plot forward. If you take away all the series-specific terminology, all you have left is: "There is trouble brewing, and people are going to fight it". This isn't fun for anyone -- make sure you have an actual hook. Where are the canon senshi? Give some explanation as to what the Galaxy Cauldron is and who Cosmos is (not everyone is going to have that deep of a knowledge of Sailor Moon -- what about new fans that haven't even got past R, never mind Sailor Stars or Crystal). Make sure that you have something to fight AGAINST, because otherwise people are just sitting there twiddling their thumbs waiting for something to happen.

All in all, I feel let down by this because I was expecting a cohesive plot and some sort of indication as to what character types are allowed, but it seems like a free-for-all with only the thinnest of premises.

The theme isn't bad though. It's a little plain, but the colours are pleasing and are very shoujo-y.

Hi! I wanted to give you some honest, constructive feedback!

First Impressions:
I have to be honest; when I first clicked on this I was a little upset because I could not find the link right away. I searched through the posts and then I found it, but we're only human and we are not perfect! I just wanted to express that. The website is very simple, but designed beautifully. I do agree with the last post that the website does seem really empty. There needs to be more content, but I do have a few suggestions for you. 

Content:
Content is a very crucial part of any website. It should be organized correctly and listed beautifully. You've almost got it, but there were a things that I wanted to discuss in this category. The Introduction category should have all things pertaining to Archive, General, Discussions, and Stories that are not of the Role-Play part. I would organize it something like this:

For the Introductions section: Try to be creative with this part. It can be fun. You can name the category anything. Try to think back to the show and grab a name that everyone would know. You could name the Introductions section such as: "The Community", "Attention All Sailors", or something from the show. If nothing comes to mind, then the title Introductions is completely fine! I'm just nitpicking. From the last post, that there were no rules listed. I'm glad that part of the ideas has been implemented. Rules are important and keep members in line. However, I always advise not to put the Rules as the first board. You don't want members to feel intimidated by the Rules. 

1) Home 

Sub-Boards: Administration, Concerns (you can specify that this board is where you place items such as comments, concerns, questions, and suggestions), Events (move the event board to the home board) Introductions, History of the Website (creating a separate board for the history of the website allows the Admin to place more items in this board such as the "Story & Events" board). 

2) OOC Chat

Sub-Boards: Forum News, Introductions, Plot Discussions, Questions & Suggestions, ect. 

3) Writing (you want to give your members a place to add their characters. I do not see this anywhere on the website and it is important to give your writers a place of expression).

Sub-Boards: Character Profiles, Character Stories, Poetry, Writing Snippets, ect. 

3) Archive (here is where you can keep all the old rps for guests to view)

Graphics:
The colors are well chosen. The banner, icons, and colors are all well chosen. I have no concerns about the graphics. 


Advertisement Ideas: This part of the critique is difficult sometimes, but with straightforward ideas like this it can be pretty easy to come up with some ideas. I would go to Facebook groups that are made for fans of Sailor Moon. There are tons of Sailor Moon fans out there, one just has to go and look. Make sure to get permission from the Admins before advertising the website.


Last Few Notes: I'm not saying that you have to implement my ideas in any way (since I am not an expert). I am just giving some honest feedback. I hope you liked the feedback and I wish you all the success in the world!

I'm not sure what your forum looked like in 2019. So, I can only rate it based on what I see today. Did you take a break from ProBoards for 3 years?

Sailor Moon is awesome. I used to have a half crush on Tuxedo Mask.

Your forum is VERY PINK. I'm not sure if that would be a deterrent to any guys who may want to join your forum, but it's something to consider. There are a lot of male fans of Sailor Moon out there. I like the custom images that I see on the home page. It's hard to see that you have sub-boards because of the very pink nature of your forum. However, I do appreciate that you didn't create too many boards. When people create too many boards, their forum looks deader than it is. I like that you kept board and category names simple and clear.


This is just a rough first impression of your forum's appearance. I won't rate you on content because I do not role play.

I wasn’t sure if it would be considered bumping since I updated stuff 😅

The aesthetics were the same in 2019 but I did take a step back from the site for a while. During that time I changed the way the character profiles look and where they are located so guests can see what we have before joint and recruited a fellow Sailor Moon fan to help out with content.

Yeah, I was never a fan of pink before but I felt it just goes with the aesthetic of Sailor Moon. Before I updated the pink theme it was originally navy blue and gold colors because I was trying to be neutral with the colors but it didn’t really help to pull in members. Could have been the content or lack thereof though. Ah ok, I didn’t realize it was hard to see the subboards. I’ll try to adjust that so they are more visible. I appreciate that!

I appreciate your feedback and I will think on the theme to see if I could make it more neutral while still keeping the Sailor Moon aesthetic.
