Hi all!
I've been using a music code under the global header which was generously made for me by another member. I've used it to play music on certain threads. It's lately come to my attention that while my admin and I can hear the music, the regular members cannot anymore. I assume this has something to do with permissions, and I'm wondering if something changed with how the global header works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
<div class="threadvids"></div> <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- function threadvids(t,v){var v=v; if(proboards.data("thread_id") && proboards.data("thread_id")==t){ $('.threadvids').html('<iframe width="1" height="1" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/'+v+'?autoplay=1&loop=1&playlist='+v+'" frameborder="0"></iframe>'); }}
//threadvids("THREAD ID HERE","YOUTUBE VIDEO ID"); </script>

Global header is globally viewable, do you have a forum link so it can be investigated?

My tests shows the video still autoplays in Internet Explorer and Firefox but according to this article on April of this year Google began slowly rolling a new autoplay blocking feature due to complaints about people being accosted by sound when visiting a webpage (generally it is considered a poor user experience to automatically play sound) This basically means people who use Chrome will no longer see videos autoplay unless it is on specific sites that Google sees as meriting the autoplay feature (such as youtube.com). If you mute the video then it will autoplay with no problem but that would not really help in your case.

I checked google chrome, and you're right, it doesn't play on that at all. I've let my members know that if they want to listen to music that's played.
Thanks again!
