Replacing Create Thread, and Reply text to image buttons?

Is there some up to date code that I can use to replace the "Create Thread" and the "Reply" to thread text links with custom image buttons?

Yes I did, and it worked for replacing the "Create Thread" link, but there is no $[reply_button] variable in Themes > Layout Templates > Thread anymore.

Assuming your reply button has already been replaced in the theme you're using there should be a link somewhere that uses either this URL:

$[reply_button.href]

Or this one:

/post/new/$[thread.id]
