Is it possible to have moderators (or any group or set of individuals, not necessarily moderators) assigned only to a specific thread. I realize this is pretty fine grained control, but it would be really handy, especially for those threads that end up being large collections of information, or those that require... more attention.
I've been searching around in the plugin areas, and either my search terms suck, or it hasn't been requested before.
Being able to edit any post in the thread, for example, would be the main goal.

you could just create a [hidden] group with edit power and just add who you want to the group

you could just create a [hidden] group with edit power and just add who you want to the group Hmm... would that work on just a single Thread though, wouldn't that have to be applied at a Board level? I could also just be looking in the wrong place. I also might not have been clear in the original post - I meant to apply this, for example, to just One Thread on a board, but not have the people have permissions to do this to any other threads within that board.

I could be wrong but we'll see

The default system will only allow board powers, not powers to a specific single thread, you are correct. I am not sure if a plugin could be created for this, but if it can be created, then it would require a plugin, yes.

The lowest level of moderation power is at the board level. It's unfortunately not possible to achieve this without it being a built-in feature.

I was kind of doubtful, not having seen anything like it, but I was hoping for some secret code sauce somewhere to work through it, so I thought it was worth asking. Thanks for clarifying!
