Okay, I would like to know if there is a code for post pic from your computer file when you post and reply in the reply section? I hope this makes sense? I know they have a insert image, but ... is there one where you can open your file from your computer and add your pics straight to the reply instead? or is that a TS code?
thanks in advance. If you still don't understand. I will try to explain again.

All you can do is 'Add Attachment'... It's not quite the same as uploading an image, but it works.

@yiska just a note on photobucket (not sure if you are aware) but they no longer support 3rd party hosting unless you have a paid account, i would recommend using a free service like postimages or imgur.

If you still don't understand. I will try to explain again. Hello @yiska I'm not sure why you chose the Headers & Footers board for this. If you're on someone else's forum you can use Add Attachment if they have attachments enabled or you can use a third-party image host and upload to that, then use BBCode tags to display the image in a post. The External Resources article in the Linked Help Guide has a list of forum-friendly image hosts under the heading Image Hosting. On your own forum, you might like to add a plugin. There are two available which accomplish the task of uploading an image directly from your computer to their service while you are in the process of creating a post, then automatically placing the BBCode in your post. The Cloudinary File Upload plugin requires each user to create an account on Cloudinary before they are able to use it. It does take a bit of time to set up, but in my opinion that is time well spent. It's an excellent host which allows storage for more than just images. The Simple Image Upload uses imgbb as its host. Images only. But creating an imgbb account is purely optional. A user can upload an without an imgbb account and it's extremely easy to use. We have both installed on Guitarnuts2. Experienced users prefer the Cloudinary File Upload. Less experienced users absolutely love the simplicity of the SIU.

Oh wow... No, I didn't know that, thanks for the heads up. I had an acct with them years ago, I guess its time to search for another acct or image loader. I thought the code I am looking for went to the headers and footers. lol... oh well I am not coding savvy sounds like both of which you have provided is a good choice. I will check them out. Which in your opinion would work best for me, I just want to be able to post pics directly from my computer inside the post And thank you both for your kind help, it is much appreciated

Also don't use Imgur to host photos on your forum as it is a violation of their Terms Of Service. Bold is mine!

Still host images on Imgur just fine despite the notice they put out. More reliable than many other free hosts.

I'm just wondering what will happen to those posts once v6 happens. Hello wildmaven You brought up an important point. I believe the posts created now using those plugins will continue to display correctly after a forum switches to v6. But the plugins I suggested won't function under v6, so those won't be of any use during the process of creating a post in the v6 environment.
