World Crafters is a forum dedicated to worldbuilding. Come here to discuss and share techniques; and, if you feel you have the talent, create and share your own projects.

Mostly I'm interested in your opinions on the default theme and banner. As I only have a tablet, I can't really fix or rearrange the boards at the moment.

I'm viewing right now from my desktop. This monitor has a smaller resolution than my laptop. Your banner appears to repeat and is not set to adjust its size based on a person's resolution.




I do like the purple and white color scheme though. It is very easy on the eyes. It's has a pleasant and calming feel.

You may be starting with too many boards. Forums tend to look deader than they are if they have a lot of boards with no activity. Obviously you can adjust this if or when you feel it's necessary.

I tend to advise people against an advertisement board only because it encourages spam. People will join, make one post about their own site, and then never log in again. It doesn't attract the type of members you want.

Otherwise, your forum is off to a nice start and I wish you good luck.

I think I may have fixed the issue with the banner, but I can't be certain. I set it to no repeat in the visual editor.

I'll probably hide the advertisement board if it becomes an issue.

As for the other boards. I mainly created this for a project that I'm working on. Suppose I could see which boards I actually make use of.

You did an A+ job fixing the banner. It no longer repeats. Just remember that I only made suggestions based on experience. I hope I didn't come off harshly. You are free to do anything you'd like with your own forum.  You will find what's best for you through your own trial and error.  Again, best of luck!

Nah, I didn't find it harsh. It was pretty handy, in fact.
