Hi,
I'm unsure if I should have posted this here or in the Plugin section or even the Coding Help but I chose here as this is just a question/concept more than anything.
I've noticed on Google Play and App Store there are many apps that are very popular that have followed one game format and that is a non-interactive RPG profile setup. In other words - your game starts with you signing into your account. Your main page is your 'Profile' page and from there you can complete tasks, buy things and do other stuff. The more of this you do (simply by selecting the task given you have enough points or whatever) the more you move up in the game through experience, health bars etc.
I was wondering if there was a way to adapt this but through the proboards format eg: could the home page be the profile page for each member and could the profile page be grossly altered to include heaps of information. Could an experience system be added somehow etc? These are just ideas at the moment.

All of this is already possible. There are several shop / rpg plugins in the plugin library (experience, random encounters, inventory, etc), custom profile fields can be created in your admin panel (+there are plugins in the library that help organise them), you can set the default landing page to the profile page + modify the templates to display something else for someone not logged in, etc etc.
The key is figuring out how best to utilise what’s available / balance out the smaller specifics with requests.
