Admin function disappeared

Good morning, the ‘Admin’ function on my Menu bar has randomly disappeared. Please could you let me know how I can get it back? My fellow Admin team have no idea what’s happened or how to fix it. I’m the worlds most useless administrator as I can’t do anything that a normal member can.

If you are not the original administrator of the forum, is it possible that one of the other administrators intentionally or accidentally removed you from being an administrator? 

When you make a post on the forum, does it still say "Administrator" under your name?

If the forum had a custom name for administrator, does it still say the same thing under your name as it did before the menu option disappeared?

If you access your profile and click the "Groups" tab, does it still show you as being part of the administrator group?

Hi unicornbex

It's possible that you or one of your staff who has access to the Navigation Menu has changed the settings.

To check for this, while logged into your forum, go to the home page, then ADD this to the URL in your browser's address bar:

/admin/settings/navigation

Then click enter. That should take you directly to the Navigation tab of the Forum Settings page. Make sure the box for Admin is ticked.

unicornbex, looks like the main admin (forum creator) had made adjustments to the member groups. You would need to ask them about this. There is nothing we can do as it's their call regarding member groups and administrative powers.


Also, in the future, should you have any other issues, please start by posting in the Support Board, which is main assistance board that is manned by the ProBoards staff.
