If I recall correctly, there are third party scripts that allow you to embed a hit tracker to differentiate between IPs associated with bots and those that are not.
That said, using a third party script can potentially cause a lot of problems so they’re all use at your own risk. Also, it’s worth considering that certain scripts, depending on how they’re written, might violate PB’s privacy policy (I cant give advice on this any more specifically, since it would need to be taken on a case by case basis).

Well, I hope that Pro Boards decides to provide one. Not knowing the percentage can give a false sense of accomplishment and encourage policies detrimental to the forum's improvement. Do you think that it might be possible for Pro Boards to do that in the near future? I mean, even if it has to charge an extra fee for it it would be great.

Technically possible in terms of whether or not the technology exists, but as I am not PB staff I wouldn’t be able to give you anything more than that.
My recommendation would be to create a new thread in this board and make a feature request; a PB staff member (people with red-coloured names) will reply to let you know if something they’d consider or not (:

This is why we provide the option of integrating with Google Analytics. With analytics on you should be able to discern what percentage of traffic is a bot and what is a normal user.
We have no plans to implement a feature like this at any point, but I'll label this as a feature request.

If indeed that is the case then I will try to integrate with the analytics you mention. Thanks for the recommendation and for taking my suggestion into consideration.

Recommended that I integrate with Google Analytics. I do recall having integrated with it once but I would need to backtrack in order to unravel just where it was I lost touch. I was too involved in doing everything at once and things became jumbled. But better late than never as they say. Thanks fr the advice.

Have you tried inviting people you think might be interested to join? I currently have 178 members, but no matter what, on any given day never get any more than 40 log in. That's been pretty constant, weirdly even as membership has risen in a year! I think that all forums have a core active membership that carry the forum. Over that core, there are regular readers, then members who rarely log on, if at all, let alone post! So, I get 40 members logging on, around 100 Posts a day, and around 1800 page views. Most of my forum (except two sections) is members only, so the traffic is mostly human not bots. Unfortunately, there's no way to make members post!
