Not sure if this is a good spot for this but:
What it says on the tin. I’d love to casually work on a skin for a forum. I’d like to build it with the plans of releasing it as a pay to use skin for anyone interested once it’s all done. Of course the skin used for your forum will have extra features the released skin won’t, to make it more personalised to your site specifically.
So basically I want to do something like this felthsheart.forums.net for your website and then sell a simplified version to anyone interested later down the track.
I will be working on it very casually among other projects so it might take a month or two before I finish. I’m also looking for a fair amount of creative freedom so I can just go with the flow.
Just submit your wonderful websites below and if I see one that inspires me I’ll let you know!!
Edit::: The Skin released to the public will be Greyscale or limited colour only. The original forum the skin was made for will be the only forum with the full coloured version of the skin.
All skins will have my support for changes after V6 and for any issues that may arise during the following months.
I’m currently working on two other skins, each skin will take me roughly a month. The first is almost finished.
I do take full skin commissions, if you’d like something especially ornate (complete custom art for every forum screen or section) I’m happy to discuss extra costs at heavy discounts as add ons to the free skin.
The example included above is a basic skin, it’s made using a top, middle and bottom image for the forum container and a long image spliced into different containers. Making it quite simple to make quality and visually appealing layouts quickly and with little effort beyond the initial graphics.
All the free skins I work on will be used as examples for my portfolio.
I would like 5 skins all up, after those slots have been filled I’ll be taking commissions only.
