Thanks, Scott. There may be more than one ad people are talking about, I'm trying to sort it out and will get back to you.

So it appears that it is a redirect ad, just as described in the first post here and the Close button leads you to another site.

becca2000, ok those are automatically detected for us to block. Sometimes it can take a few hours for the block to fully propagate our service.

It's been several days now and some people say they have been receiving it for a week or more, though. Each time I tell people to wait just a few more hours and several hours later, more people come to the thread to report they just got it that minute.

Myself and VS Admin just reviewed ads from our automatic reporting system and have not been able to detect any further redirect ads. If users are still experiencing any issue please encourage them to use the back button in their browser to return to the forum to ensure we get a full report.

So they should go back and then use the Report Ad tool?

So they should go back and then use the Report Ad tool? No need to use the tool, simply to return to the forum by using the back button in their browser/on their phone.

FWIW, many people still getting this ad. Just to let you know that this system really needs to be tweaked.

Is there a common device that is receiving the error when others are not? I've been keeping a close eye on our ad reporting tool and haven't been able to identify any redirects over the last two days.

I’ve been getting them every 2-3 page clicks since last Thursday, and it hasn’t slowed down yet.
I’m on an iPhone XR, and sometimes on AT&T and sometimes on my home WiFi. It was better on WiFi until yesterday and now it’s about the same. It keeps redirecting me to something that prompts me to open in the Apple store, and disables my back button. I have to close the tab and close out my browser to get rid of it.

Hi,
At this point we suspect the issue is that the affected users simply don't have the latest blocklist for some reason. Are affected users all set up to accept cookies?

Most of our users aren't especially tech-savvy. Asking them that question is going to elicit a lot of "how would I know?" answers. On the other hand, the default on Safari on the iPhone, which it seems most are using, is to accept cookies. So I feel like it's unlikely most would be able to change that setting and thus they probably are set up to accept cookies.
