What do you do for work?
Personally? Since the last time I actually used GT to communicate, I have been working as a cook, preparing meals for a cafeteria at a local church that is open most days of the week.

I can't work much, but when I'm up for it I work as an editor, mostly with books. I've gotten all sorts of books, from zombie apocalypses to self-help and everything in between, so it's fun!

I essentially turn gigantic datasets into smaller, more useful datasets. There's also some light statistical analysis thrown in. Then all of that gets synthesized into medical literature that aims to improve the care patients receive at hospitals. If you told me ten years ago that I'd have a nice list of published works with my name on them, I'd assume you meant that I was going to become a novelist (which is still on the table, but as a side thing).

I have worked 40 years Retail Management, from p/t Merchandiser to Manager, Multi-unit Manager, District Manager, Divisional Manager, General Manager, and owner of two businesses, one of them with Marian.
I am now semi-retired, no longer working in retail, now working p/t in a bank.
Before all of the above, I served in the US Army.
Man oh man am I old!
