I would find this very useful... And I haven't found a plugin of this sort up till this point.
I guess it would be the same as moving a thread or post, only the original thread or post stays where it was... It doesn't seem too hard, but I also don't know code very well. XD
One of the only problems I see is that it would increase post counts for people even when they technically didn't post again, but this doesn't matter for my purposes.

That is a bit beyond the capability of a plugin because that would require direct access to the server database in order to impersonate some user and create a post as if the plugin was that user. Proboards plugins act upon the page in the browser as the page is loading and are not server executables so have no access to server side resources except in limited areas such as keys and metadata. Plugins are also forbidden to initiate communication with the server except through authorized channels so a plugin creating a post is out of the question.
