Change thread icons on specific boards

I seen a few plugins for this but one doesn't do what I need it to do, and the other one is not working properly anymore and messes up my theme's layout in the post editor (removes post title)  so I am thinking about going at this a different way via  template mods.

What I want to do is be able to change the thread icons (folder images) that display on threads but only in certain boards. Basically I want to add different folder icons on different boards.  I need some codes man! HELP PLease? Scott Chris
