Consensus on a Labyrinth (Jim Henson) Inspired RP site?

Just putting feelers out to find out the degree of interest for a Labyrinth themed RP site, it would be mostly open world and OC's for obvious reasons, but the main body of characters would be Fae, or Troll, or Goblin, or Human. 

I'm actually working on one just now, for fun, just don't know if it would be worth opening to the public when i think its ready or not.

Dark Crystal is a fascinating story for sure, I haven't thought on that. I was mostly just wondering if there was anyone still into Labyrinth!

I love me some Labyrinth, but I thin it would be a difficult world to RP. That and TDC just came out with a series so you're likely to get more interested members. Still, I'd check out a Labyrinth RP.

This might get more traction in a dedicated RP community forum, honestly; there are a lot of RPers who advertise here, but less so actively participating in the rest of the forum.

I'll be honest, I don't understand why you're asking if it would be 'worth' to open when you're ready -- what are your parameters of 'worthiness'? It seems like you are asking whether or not this would be a wildly popular success, but I don't want to make any assumptions.

Generally speaking, I always think it's worthwhile to open a project you are passionate about and are willing to go through lean times on. If you are not fully invested in an idea because it might not be successful, I would personally recommend finding a different idea. In an age where forum use is drastically down, you need to be prepared for the possibility that the forum may take ages to get a userbase, if it gets one at all, no matter how much effort you put into it. If you're not willing to invest for the possibility of a negative return on the chance it will become successful (by whatever metric you're considering), then don't open & leave it a just-for-fun thing for yourself and perhaps some friends.
